Equal Pay Act (EPA) Project

“If you want to change the world, help the women.” - Nelson Mandela

The Equal Pay Act (EPA) was signed by President John F. Kennedy on June 10, 1963 but there are no real ‘teeth’ to this law as it has been consistently violated since it passed.

One thought is to pass legislation that requires companies to be audited every five years or so, at their cost, and be required to pay those who did not receive equal pay for those years.

If you have any other ideas, please feel free to submit them to womenunite303@gmail.com.

In the meantime, write your U.S. Senator asking for legislation requiring companies be regularly audited and be required to make financial reparations.
